QuikClot Combat Gauze XL is a hemostatic bandage for emergency control of heavy bleeding and wound packing. The bandage contains kaolin, a natural mineral that helps activate the blood clotting process upon contact with blood.
The model has an enlarged XL format , which provides a larger amount of material for tamponade. The bandage size is approximately 10.2 cm × 3.7 m .
A practical feature of QuikClot Combat Gauze XL is its Z-folding . The bandage is folded like an accordion, so it can be applied directly from the package during tamponade, without the need to unroll the entire material first.
The bandage does not generate heat during the hemostatic reaction. The material is equipped with a radiopaque strip , which allows the bandage to be detected during X-ray examination.
The compressed format and airtight packaging make QuikClot Combat Gauze Z-Folded XL convenient for storage in personal and tactical first aid kits. The packaging has notches for opening.
