The Bronyx BRO-SCAP6-M-SIC-B side armor plate is designed for additional protection of the side areas of the torso when using body armor and plate carriers. The plate is sold individually , so you can purchase one or the required number of plates depending on the equipment configuration.

The plate corresponds to protection class 6 according to DSTU 8782:2018 and is capable of stopping 7.62x54 mm (B-32) armor-piercing bullets at a speed of 860±15 m/s .

Maximum depth of the armor deformation of the casing up to 19 mm .

Construction

The armor plate has a multilayer construction with a combination of ceramics and NVMPE:

• 1 layer: foamed polyethylene;
• 2nd layer: ceramic - silicon carbide SiC;
• 3rd layer: ULPHPE — ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene;
• 4th layer: foamed polyethylene;
• outer layer: Oxford.

The plate has a single-plane bend and Shooter's Cut shape , which provides a more anatomical fit and freedom of movement while wearing.
