TRAMONTANE Wind Jacket - WindPack Nylon

The TRAMONTANE jacket is an ultra-light windproof layer. It was created to fill the gap between the Blizzard softshell and the Windrunner jacket in the Helikon-Tex offer. The TRAMONTANE weighs 120 g, and when packed into the sewn-in chest pocket (the so-called self-pack), it can be compressed to the size of a soda can. When stored this way, it will even fit in a trouser pocket. In the summer, when it gets colder, it will work as an independent protective layer over a T-shirt, e.g. as a hiking jacket. The light weight of the TRAMONTANE jacket is noticeable when worn - it protects against the wind, and at the same time does not constrain movements, you may even forget that you are wearing it. In colder periods, it will perfectly match a fleece or combat shirt from the Patrol line. The TRAMONTANE jacket is made of very light but durable WindPack® nylon. It is a quick-drying material, additionally coated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, so it will stop light rain or snow. Even if it gets wet, the Tramontane jacket dries very quickly. It also fastens along the entire length, so it provides good ventilation. On the other hand, the drawstring at the bottom edge of the jacket, elastic cuffs and an adjustable hood allow you to keep the heat inside if necessary. The windproof jackets in the Helikon-Tex offer are named after different types of wind. The TRAMONTANE jacket got its name from the cool north or northeast wind, which is common in the Mediterranean Sea.
